Anyone else not buying Kyle's wholesome routine?

She has said many times on the show how her family never discussed Kim's alcoholism or, for that matter, any issues that could be construed in any way as negative or unfavorable. They looked the other way.

I don't believe for a minute that Kyle is the concerned little sister who would drop everything to protect Kim's interests, health, etc.

On WWHL, someone asked what Kim did that made Kyle realize she may be on something. Kyle's response was basically that she didn't know. Those camera shots to her jaw-dropped look was because she was admittedly embarrassed at Kim's behavior, not concerned that she was off the wagon. She admitted she got up and left for the bathroom because everyone was being weird, not just Kim, and she just thought the night was taking an odd turn. Kim went after her and admitted to taking something.

I think every move Kyle makes is to make Kyle look good. If ignoring her sister's alcoholism for years so long as it doesn't become public and tarnish the "Richards" name is what keeps Kyle's image good, look the other way. Now that Kim's alcoholism is out there, being the concerned sobriety supporting sister is what makes Kyle look good, so she's going that route now.

Whatever. Go brush your hair Kyle.

I don't know, I'm kinda torn with Kyle.

I think it's easy for sisters or siblings to easily get embarrassed by one another. It's how the sibling relationship often is while growing up. I'm not really surprised she automatically reverts to her childhood first reaction. None of these women truly act grown up.

Not saying it's right, but she was the youngest of 3 right? So she never really had to take responsibility for the actions of her older sisters, but they probably looked after her more "mother" like than she ever did them.

We also don't know if Kim's alcoholism ever impacted Kyle negatively and directly in past situations that could have cause embarrassment.

I'm torn about Kyle too. It's pretty heartwarming to see Kyle and Kim enjoying each other so much during Kim's sobriety. I like their relationship, watching them go out to lunch and laugh together. I really think Kyle felt terrible during the wine tasting at the spa. And I think she's extremely upset over the possibility that Kim may have had a relapse with the pain meds. I thought Brandi was inexcusable (yet again) for shoving Kyle out of the way when Kyle was just trying to talk to Kim and find out what was wrong. I swear, it's like middle school... do these women even know what problems are going on in the real world? It's like they live in their own bubbles of privilege. I'd love to know if they keep up with world events at all, or if their focus is always on who said what to whom in their crazy circle of "friends". Sorry, went off on a tangent there...!

I actually like Kyle. I think it would be really hard to have a sister who is an addict, and constantly unable to fully participate in your life because of her demons.

I also think everyone knows that the only reason Kim is still on the show, and every behind the scenes Bravo gossip has reported this, is because Kyle threatens to quit every time they want to fire her. People may say that is her PR but I doubt she would spread that, I dont think it really benefits her. And it certainly rings true, given that they have fired many people from the show for having less boring storylines than Kim.

I think kyle does a lot for Kim but I dont think she has the same relationship style as her and some of the other ladies. And it baffles me how much people hold her responsible for her sister's life.
