Those comments were not about the child, but about Romney. People could not understand why he put out a christmas card with all, but one grandchild- the black one. People assumed he disapproved of the adoption. It was later explained that R the time of the photo, the grandchild had not yet officially been adopted. People stopped commenting after that explanation. |
Bitch with a capital 'B'. And her Bitchiness has cost her job. What a silly woman, and now every thing wrong she has ever done is now under a microscope. Karma is a,,,,well you know. |
Don't recall those comments about the Christmas card at all. |
Is your very experienced lawyer a probate lawyer
|
Actually, no. A very long term federal prosecutor. He's not "my lawyer." |
Well it was the family Christmas card that started people talking about the absence of that child as part of the huge Romney family. |
Is his specialty con law or what? The point is just because he is experienced doesn't mean he knows what the heck he is talking about. What is he an expert in. My cardiologist is a very experienced doctor, but he is no expert in neuropathy. |
| Obama, who taught Constitutional law (but is not a constitutional lawyer) said many times that he could not change the law. He said he didn't have the power or right to change it--until he changed it. Then he said it was okay. |
Yep. If those girls had worn those skirts to a public school they would have been sent home. I don't think that they looked trashy though and I actually thought their expressions were fine and showed a sense of humor. The comments were harsh, I'm glad she apologized. |
| That woman is a fatty. She needs to talk to Jenny Craig, not those kids. |
Jenna is comley Barbara, not as comley. But not homely. |
Jeff, can we get a sticky that tells people to google "freedom of speech" and instruct them to get help from a grown-up if they don't understand all the words before they start sanctimoniously posting about it? Thanks. |
| Could the erudite PP please distinguish between free speech and freedom of speech. |
I can. But I don't think the person who thinks "free speech" means people can't call you out for being a douchebag when you pick on a 13-year-old, and that all of that somehow has something to do with your employer not wanting you work for them anymore can. |
Here was the exchange. It was inappropriate and hateful. “Everybody loves a baby picture,” Harris-Perry said, “and this was one that really, a lot of people had emotions about this baby picture this year. This is the Romney family. And, of course, there on Governor Romney’s knee is his adopted grandson, who is an African-American, adopted African-American child, Kieran Romney.” As Harris-Perry made the introduction, panelist Pia Glenn sang “One of these things is not like the others, one of these things just isn’t the same,” a tune whose original lyrics read “one of these things doesn’t belong.” “And that little baby, front and center, would be the one,” she added. “And isn’t he the most gorgeous?” Harris-Perry said. “My goal is that in 2040, the biggest thing of the year will be the wedding between Kieran Romney and North West. Can you imagine Mitt Romney and Kanye West as in-laws?” Comedian Dean Obeidallah chimed in by reducing the baby to a token. “I think this picture is great,” he said. “It really sums up the diversity of the Republican party, the RNC. At the convention, they find the one black person.” |
