| NP. Am I the only one who never wants or can tolerate more than one alcoholic drink? I’m content with sparkling water or a Diet Coke. |
Oh no you didn’t…😂😂😂 |
|
As someone said earlier, flattenning a ball of dough into pizza flats is a PITA.
And then the timing in the oven. A pre bake to crust it up because if you don't the sauce will make it a gooey watery mess. And how big is this oven that everyone is using or does every guest have to wait their turn? The rationing of libations is very un-hostessy. I am with OP. It sounds like a weird invite. |
I don’t like the taste of alcohol, it makes me sleepy, and sometimes gives me a headache. I don’t even want one drink. For that matter, I don’t like sodas, either. I’d welcome iced tea, lemonade, apple cider, etc., but I’d really be just as happy with ice water. I think I’d have a lot more fun making pizzas with OP’s hosts than to spend time watching her drink and judge. |
That's not the point. A good hostess has plenty of options for everyone and doesn't run out of preferences. We still haven't heard from OP if it was a planning thing or a limiting thing. |
+1 And if you need more after that, take a nice piece of fruit out onto the front porch. |
| Was there a limit on the number of toppings for the pizza- I would have ended the friendship over that. |
Babe, we’re on page 9 or 10 of this stupid thread that has devolved into Insult City. I get to make an off-topic point if I want to. |
Of course you can! But it's so navel gazing like "I only want one drink anyway!" OK fine. You can have that little side thread about how you just like the one drink. Some of us like no alcohol. Some of us like something besides alcohol or "boring water" to "wash down food" (IYKYK). Point is, host or hostess was hell-o-rude to not have options. And (also off topic but since three people mentioned it, YES WE KNOW the hostess does not need to open the bottle of wine you brought as a gift. Everyone knows that.). So Exhbit eleventy hundred on it doesn't matter what guests brought or guests drink, hostess came up short. And I don't care about the pizza dough. Y'all can keep discussing that labor as a side thread too. Homemade pizza is delicious. |
this was the activity - they thought it would be fun to host a make your own pizza night. how hard is it to make pizza? you sound like a grump. |
Hmm, I wonder why you’re so sensitive about how much you drink? (Watches PP flame out in spectacular fashion) |
| They should have told you/asked if you were okay with that. |
But with my good friends, we go with the flow. No need to run a menu by us. We’re comfortable with each other. Some of you are so dramatic and demanding. I doubt you have any close friends. Just superficial dinner party friends. No thanks. |
DP here. Why are you so incredibly stupid? Or is it that you know PP is right and this is your desperate move? DCUM is famous for that. |
Another overly sensitive lush. |
