dont you worry folks will report them. My mid chose to play HS so he dropped to a AD team. He already told his coach he will ID any HG kids playing. |
Dude nobody cares if they identify them. You can look on the school rosters and see them right now. Nothing is going to happen to them. |
Haha report them to who? Clubs can’t risk losing the top players. All the club can really is kick them off so they join another mls next team in the fall. |
How many kids good enough for MLS Next HG are putting in significant time in another sport simultaneously during the soccer season? |
the clubs get fined brah. |
clubs get fined. Go read the rules |
|
Outside Competition/High School Participation
Primary Players that participate in Outside Competition or High School soccer without approval from MLS NEXT will result in the below fines: 1st Offense = $500 per team (minimum of 1 player non-approved participation) 2nd Offense = $750 per team (minimum of 1 player non-approved participation) 3rd Offense = $5,000 fine for the Club, regardless of the number of non-approved participants. In addition, other potential sanctions for the Club and the player, including removal from MLS NEXT. |
Track is one |
Thanks for sharing. Where did you find this info? I still don't get why is the restriction just on HS soccer and not the other sports like lacrosse, track, basketball, to name a few. Many play Futsal but that's not thru HS. |
its on MLSNext Website. |
I can tell you that this may be written but I have never heard of a club getting fined. Unless the club is going to fine itself. So once again nothing will happen. I know SYC and Alexandria are major rules breakers and I asked a coach of each program last year about this. And to their knowledge the club has not been fined. |
Don’t forget Hockey |
| They have illegally been playing in FFX for a while. HS coaches even know so they don't IGs with those players. Loudoun will be telling since they just got MLS Next HG and they have kids sprinkled all over the county. |
