Why so little outrage over the sewage spill?

STATE of EMERGENCY declared by Mayor Bowser. When will VA and MD call the emergency?

Our local leaders are handling this smoothly and competently, as Democrats do. God help us if republicans had been in charge. I can only imagine what an unmitigated disaster this would’ve been with Hogan or Youngkin still in office.

The broken section of pipe has been found. It will be excavated this month. It will be fixed next month. It will be back in service by April or May. There is no danger to DC’s water supply. The Potomac river was already a dead, lifeless cesspool to begin with, so environmental harm will be minimal since the river was dead before this happened.

I see your game here is trying to cast doubt on the political leadership in DC,MD and VA, as well as the POC in upper management in city agencies. We see what you’re doing.

This spill isn’t that bad. You’re making it out to be far worse than it actually is, for sake of cheap political points.

You are scummier than the sewage spill.

Just downriver from the American Legion Bridge is Fletcher’s Boathouse, where you COULD see eagles and ospreys catching fish out the Potomac on a daily basis while they fly above all kinds of water birds including mallards, wood ducks and cormorants. All of these animals, some of them endangered, are now in jeopardy because of these incompetent buffoons. What the hell are you talking about?!!

So it’s MAGA to believe that there was wildlife in the Potomac east of American Legion Bridge? Oh, okay…

Chinese and Russian bots are out in full force today. This spill should be investigated to see if this was an attack by one of them btw. Not saying it was, but it wouldn’t be beyond the pale for China and Russia to commit industrial sabotage that led to the largest sewage spill in American history next to the nation’s capital.

So I know DC was already doing some 3 billion dollar sewage system upgrade. How does this relate to that? Or are those in different locations where they're drilling those massive tunnels?
