+1 Administrators seem seriously removed from daily school life. No way they will carry a coat around all day on top of a heavy backpack, lunch, club sport gear, etc. Why do schools have lockers anyway?! |
| I was excited thinking about the minimal disruption to my day but when I thought about it, I really think this is a bad call. It’s too cold and too dark for MS kids (I don’t have one). The delay is absolute torture for elementary school parents so yeah I was excited for me. I would drive my kid in late to MS here (pp is right about Kirby). |
The MS kids would get daylight to stand and walk with a 2 hour delay. |
We do but there were MS kids walking down the busy Kirby road since the sidewalk is inaccessible. It looked frightening as a parent. |
MS parent here. We are driving too and have been. Shocked there is no delay tomorrow. Reid is an absolute moron and a coward. |
None of the districts delayed |
I wish kids would use the lockers they've been given at my school. Very few use them. |
Womp womp |
If you have to drive your MS kid so early in the morning, why are you up at 1:08am posting your dumb outrage. You’re the moron here. And a coward for posting on an anonymous forum. |
| It was a good call. Not as cod as expected, and also not dark out. |
| The days are really lengthening quickly. My son walks to the bus stop at 6:40 and while the sun wasn't fully up, it was definitely lightening up. I know some leave a little earlier, but I think this was the right call. |
Well, I do, and she left at 6:40 a.m. for the bus in her usual routine. It's always cold and mostly dark when she heads to the bus stop in winter. I support school opening on time today. |
Ha, I posted a minute or two after you and said the same. My daughter leaves at 6:40, too, and it was definitely lighter today than it has been. |
I am freezing! |
Oh noes! |
