didnt go to either school but no you dont you clown. emory has embarrassingly bad yield compared to hopkins and other actual top schools. 37% vs 53% with lower stats vs hopkins.

it also lists hopkins as a peer where as hopkins does not consider it one (in contrast, ivies and stanford do consider hopkins as one)

https://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/dfr/2024/ReportHTML.aspx?unitId=162928

emory is not listed as a peer by ivies or stanford for a reason. the only thing uglier than emory’s desirability as a school is emory mom on here.

bethesda montgo yield:

emory - 24%
hopkins - 78%

emory is truly next level bad.

I love Hopkins!!

Beautiful campus! Great professors! It's a path to success.

also acceptance rate:

also acceptance rate:

https://bethesdamagazine.com/2025/09/10/mcps-students-college/

emory - 16%

hopkins - 5%

emory likes to name drop better schools for association grifting. like the unpopular kid at school it is.

ED acceptances are 1:1 yield.

Again - Emory hate here reflects really bad on Hopkins. You can constructively argue without childishly demeaning another excellent school.

Hopkins has a major chip on its shoulder. Lots of incredible things happening there and smart alums. But also a lot of people who need to grow up. This applies to many schools but seems particularly prevalent at Hopkins.

You are less likely to find midwits at JHU compared to Brown/Dartmouth/Columbia etc

the only thing actually pathetic is emory posters inserting themselves into every thread with insecurity

emory is a fine school. it will never be an actual top school but is a fine back up to georgetown and its ilk.

Don't worry about it. A lot of parents here will be humbled when their kid gets rejected by both of these schools.

GA Tech is a world class engineering school. STEM <> Engineering so comparing the two is not apples to apples. Tech also has great sports which is a plus.

This person’s inability to write is something else. emory was embarrassing enough even without these chatbots. remember it had a us news scandal where it inflated student stats just to arrive at a shit ranking anyways.

Yet you're here bragging about lower ranked schools, but whatever makes you feel better about not being in the T25. Also I meant more important not more prestigious. Emory and Georgetown are equally prestigious, but Emory is more important to academia and research than GU. For those that see prestigious and academic importance as the same then Emory is more prestigious.
