If I wanted to discuss, say, political theory with a college student, I'd look to a school like Swarthmore.

A friend of mine went to Swarthmore for undergrad and now is a well-known Professor at a top Ivy. They thrived there.

Swat alum here who had a single every year after freshman year! My sister was at an ivy at the same time and we both had wonderful experiences. She has two great choices - good luck.

My DC picked a SLAC over Yale even though they are a legacy - with my full encouragement. Fit matters.

Anyhow, if you bothered to read any of the last few posts you would have seen that OP’s kid already chose Swat. (FWIW, preferring Yale is perfectly reasonable; but categorically doing so without nuance or actual insight warrants at least a little mockery.)
