Let's not forget that he's a drug addict |
You are not this dumb. Read between the lines. These agencies are US life lines into the world. That’s what musk doesn’t know which is crazy that he access to anything. |
None of your business. |
A skiff is a small boat that is usually propelled by oars or sails. Skiffs are often used for fishing, leisure, and work. Not sure why USAID would be using those and doubt anyone from DOGE was trying to board. But maybe you meant Sensitive compartmented information facility. It is possible USAID could have SECRET level information. If USAID had Top Secret (grave danger) or god forbid SCI then something is seriously off course there. No reason they would have anything above secret- and not sure why they would have that other than for potentially working with DLA or military for something. |
Or maybe, you know, autocorrect. |
Why exactly is USAID a flashpoint for Elon/so so sensitive that is has such high level information security?
I only found that Hungary hates Samantha Power and accused USAID of funding Hungarian opposition press. |
There's this weird obsession in the tech world with saying that international aid is pointless. I once worked for an aid agency and people who worked in the Tech space would make a point of finding me and telling me that international development aid is pointless. It's such an arrogant, tone deaf thing to be stuck on. But it's a sector-wide obsession for some reason. |
From this thread I understand that USAID is a drop in the bucket inconsequential benevolent org that also possesses super highly confidential and sensitive info that Elon and other Americans without the highest levels of security clearance can never be permitted to see.
Is who gets food aid really that sensitive or is this a vehicle for more important gov acticity? |
Obviously the accusations that it is a front for CIA is more valid than claimed in this thread. |
What is the secret information? |
If USAID information is in a scif the there is something seriously amiss. |
Not really. Many of USAID’s overseas foreign partners don’t want to be advertised in their home country as taking US money. It can be dangerous on the ground for them. USAID reps take confidential meetings with foreign government representatives; those discussions would be classified. China is always trying to undercut USAID or sabotage projects, so we need to work carefully and discreetly. You get that foreign aid is a competition, right? We are competing with Russia and China to influence these foreign governments |
No. Go fishing somewhere else. You're in the wrong pond. |
Why is it a competition? So it is a foreign influence/opposition-in-other/countries funding mechanism? Are the American people really signing up for this? |
Okay. So why is this all so sensitive and secretive? |
