How are you preparing your children for downward mobility?

Zero worries about it. The kids are not spenders and have very low needs. We are two generations working on creating generational wealth.
I will not need my retirement money at all as I'm moving to a very low cost of living country to be with friends. Healthcare and eldercare will not be expenses worth mentioning.
Building generational wealth is really the focus, the hobby, and excitement.
No spenders in the family at all and I hope it stays like that.
