Speaking as a former Republican now Independent, I'm not sure your thought has merit. There are plenty of Rs or former Rs who have criticized the GOP and they have not landed on their feet, either in the Democratic party or Indepenent or Republican. PP. Some of us have been talking about her for years. I have family who are from Hawaii, not far from the compound in Kailua. Her dad had a shitty talk show for awhile and was a state senator. I think her mom was also in politics at some point but at the local level.
