? you don't trust charlatans but you'll vote for one? How can you trust that he'll do what he says, or won't do what he says he wouldn't do. How can you trust that he will not put his self interests over the US? Or sell our secrets to Putin? If an elite politician is not trustworthy, then no, I wouldn't vote for one. I trust Harris supports the Constitution, unlike Trump. I trust that she has a red line that she won't cross when it comes to kowtowing to our enemies. You're like the Germans who supported Hitler and turned a blind eye to his moral failings. I remember when Rs used to value morals. -former R |
I think the Germans who supported Hitler said something similar. Nice. |
Or maybe people have double standards, aren’t actually really paying attention, or just are the sorts of people who don’t like to admit they might be wrong about their judgment of a 78 year old narcissist with severe cognitive decline. |
Or, like the pp to whom you’re responding, they simply don’t think anymore. They repeat talking points but choose to think no further. So they just don’t think about it. |
That would be Trump. His tariffs are a hidden tax on Americans. His inflationary policies are another hidden tax. |
Trump has a record of successfully cutting taxes. And inflation was a lot lower under Trump than Biden/Harris. Kamala wants to use your tax money to give $20,000 grants to drug dealers based on skin color. |
This. Trump doesn’t even have the same energy to mount much of fraudulent stop the steal campaign. Trump has a bunch of loud, virulent supporters. But most Americans see right through him. |
Now go over the debt and deficit he was given to start and then when he left office. Someone has to pay for the cuts and it won’t be the mega wealthy. It will be the middle class and the poor. You’ll pay through tariffs and reduced services like FEMA, social security, and Medicare. I make more than $400,000, so on the surface, Trump might reduce my taxes a little. But he also wants to cut Medicare and social security, both of which my mother relies on 100% to support her. If she loses that, I’ll be supporting her and paying for private insurance. I will not save more in taxes than I spend on supporting her. |
I can’t help your ignorance. Tariffs and inflation will reduce your economic power. If you just focus on tax cuts, you’re missing all the ways you get taxed by the government. Tariffs are one way (the government collects those tariffs and you the consumer reimburses the importer of those goods) and inflation is another (it reduces the debt) |
Honestly, I’m a nihilist at this point. I used to think people grew up to have integrity, critical reasoning, and empathy, but they don’t.
If half this country wants to vote in a man child narcissist grifter with 43 felonies that’s all the evidence you need. Or really that at least enough of those votes coupled with Trump’s state wide crooked electors who have been chosen and who will ultimately challenge this all the way to Supreme Court, where he will totally get elected based on their scheme. I mean we are seeing history repeat itself. Nationalist rhetoric. Hate of immigrants. What the fk else do you need to know? Nothing matters. We get the government we deserve. |
Trump's tax cuts added 7.8 TRILLION to the national debt. More than any other President. So no, you don't have a leg to stand on. |
This is what they don’t understand. He’ll cut taxes but he won’t spend less and that money has to come from somewhere. |
