Do you ever recognize repeat posters?

For these hot button political topics, there are groups of people with similar perspectives, trained on the same news diets, on both the main "sides" of the issue.

I haven't read those posts but "maniac" is a strong word. How are you coming to this conclusion? Or is it that you just don't like the topic?

Its such a weird place to do it. It's so visual and this is not a visual website.

I certainly recognize the "I'm from France poster" .... shows up everywhere.

Oui!

Jeff needs to add Funkytown to the Regional forums.

The "what are you prattling on about?" lady.

That's all I got.

Yes! I'll add "you're unhinged" lady and some person you just posts "loser" when they disagree. I don't think those are really multiple people leaning on the same tired vocabulary.
Also agree with the "I'm French" lady who is always wrong about France so I wonder how long she's been away.

And the one who writes an insane half-sentence dismissal of OP/PP and ends it with "fool"

If Jeff isn't fast enough "bidenomics" troll comments on those.

No, my wife says she reads but never commens.

Is this the same as the "sweetie" person? It has to be, right? I get especially annoyed with the condescending use of "sweetie" for some reason, but I think they use "honey" as well, and some other term of endearment that I'm forgetting.

Also, the "What are you prattling on about?" poster. They use it all the time, and it almost never even fits the prior post at all.

Yep, hate the oh sweetie poster.

I’ve posted before that my kids won’t consider red states for a variety of reasons, including women’s healthcare. I see others posting about it as well.

OK, psycho.

Seems like you’re triggered by women having health care. Are you also triggered by LGBTQ kids?

Excuse me, but the correct acronym is LGTBQIA+

Please do better.

And the homophobic/transphobic trolls like PP, but sadly are not just one person

I think this is multiple posters because whenever it gets posted, multiple reply "I could have posted this."

There are a lot of women in their 40s/50s on here and those are the prime "funk" years.

But they use very specific rhetoric and lose their mind every time anyone poses a specific argument (I've had it directed at me and seen it with others). I wish I could post the subject matter but they'd see this, and this thread would become a dumpster fire. They are horrible and very easily identifiable.

Conjure.

Face palm. I wrote that, and I'm like, "that does NOT look right, why isn't it showing it's not spelled correctly??" Because I wasn't even in the ballpark! Thank you!

Not the PP but I LOVE people like you who recognize vocabulary, spelling and grammar corrections as the gift they are. I feel like people who get mad at those corrections are doomed to appear ignorant for the rest of their lives. I am NOT talking about typos either.

99% of the corrections and "the reason your MIL hates you / have trouble dating / DC didn't get into a college is because you can't spell" people are responding to typos and phone autocorrect and. Anonymous forum with no edits, people aren't professionally editing their posts.

And they also go to Starbucks in yoga pants and a messy top bun. Do better, people!

Similar to the “I’m from France” poster is the “we are European” poster who chimes in on threads (mostly in the Travel forum) suggesting how much more cultured and well-traveled she (or he) is. Ok, we all know you’re European and therefore far superior to the rest of us 🙄, but seriously, why not just say you’re from? Are you from Portugal or Norway or Ireland?
