| Welcome to Sweden 🙄 |
I'm from Minnesota and in the winter at parties there is always a huge pile of snowy boots by the door and everyone is in socks. |
What happens in the summer? What little there is of it, apparently. |
Summer is more of a mix, but growing up I remember taking my shoes off in most homes. |
| Have never …ever ….been asked to take my shoes off - and all guests and hosts are always wearing shoes - at every gathering I’ve ever attended - large and small/formal and casual - in all of my 55 years. I’ve lived in DC , Chevy chase, New York, San Francisco, Nantucket and Paris over the years. The only time I’ve ever been at someone’s house and taken my shoes off would be possibly a very casual movie night or out by the pool. …. |
Good for you for tracking all that poo pee and vomit in peoples homes |
Yeah, because they are snow boots, covered in snow, ice and mud. You don't want to track that all over the friend's carpeting. They are also bulky and sometimes uncomfortable. There are boot trays made specifically designed to let boots dry off. We kept ours either outside the front door or immediately inside. that is normal. asking people to remove their shoes at a party is just weird. Remember Carey Bradshaw's Manolos were stolen at a party just like this? |
Some of you people are so neurotic. I’m really stepping in poo pee and vomit as I step outside my 3.5M home into my range rover in my Jimmy Choos and then out of the car and a few steps into the suburban home of my friends????? Ok. If you say so. |

Feet stink. I don’t want stinky barefooted people in my home Also, back to the OP’s original question. Why don’t you take your shoes off in the office? |
