There is no disputing the data: Wages for working-class Americans are not keeping up with inflation. Moreover, a near-record number of Americans are now out of the labor force entirely. And yet many liberals — avowed friends of the American worker — are calling for more immigration so that employers don’t have to raise wages and get Americans back to work.
It is not surprising when Big Business calls for more immigration to keep wages down, but what has happened to the American left? https://nypost.com/2023/01/09/democrats-undermine-working-class-with-open-borders-and-illegal-labor/?utm_source=twitter_sitebuttons&utm_medium=site%20buttons&utm_campaign=site%20buttons |
Americans should stop holding monkey paws when they say things like they want to see the parties work together. |
The largest demographic group is retiring. Of course this is a record. We have to have immigration just to take care of these people. There is an incredible lack of elder care workers. Americans don't want to do those jobs or have more skills that they can use (you know the ones who were educated and grew up here). Just saying. Someday you will be old and need help too. Who is going to help you? |
My kids, as is expected in our culture. Americans were dumb when they discarded parental bonds. |
there's a shortage of manufacturing workers. What jobs are these immigrants taking away from those snowflakes who can't seem to pull themselves up by their bootstraps? |
so if a white "real" American owned blocks of houses, is that a problem, too? You know, the Trumps own lots of rental buildings, right? That's how they made their money. |
That happened in those 1950s that conservatives love so much. Everyone suddenly thought they needed a house in the suburbs with a white picket fence. And that meant you moved away from your family, that meant you needed a car to get anywhere, and everything else. |
As stated above LLCs and Corporations should be limited in their residential holdings. No one is not saying that. |
haha.. The wealthy landowners who control politics would never go for that. Can you imagine Trump agreeing to this? LOL |
Both Hillary and Joe raised ton more money from the rich than Trump ever did, so your reference is a tiny bit misplaced. |
Sure, but they don't own buildings that they rent out. Nor did their family make their wealth off of being slum lords or having racist housing policies. |
How would you even know if they did? Hillary and Joe have raised BILLIONS in dark money. This is not a partisan issue per se. |
About a third of our senior population have no children so they had no parental bonds to discard. |
Kind of. He made a lot of his money by ripping off contractors and doctoring the books. |
