How on earth can Catholics (true Catholics) call themselves Democrats? The Democratic party stands for everything Catholics are against, and vice-versa. So incredibly hypocritical.

You’re full of sh!t. The Democratic Party and the Catholic Church align on believing those with means need to help those without. That refugees should be welcomed. That the hungry should be fed, the homeless housed, and the sick tended to. Taking care of the least among is, the powerless and voiceless, are core values for both Catholics and Democrats. There is a strong social justice faction in the Catholic church, which is a cousin of wokism. I grew up in that tradition. My family had priest and nun friends murdered and attacked in Latin America by right-wing militia because of their social justice ministering. The Catholic Church is conservative about sex and reproduction, but it is totally left-wing in its official stances when it comes to issues of poverty, racism, justice, even environmental stewardship. Don’t believe me? Read some of the current pope’s addresses and writings. The Catholic Church does not preach right-wing prosperity gospels. It favors action over words, meaning your loud pronouncements of how much you love Jesus aren’t going to get you into heaven. It’s how you treat the least of your brothers.

The amount of refugees that Catholic Charities of USA has flooded my hometown with has destroyed the schools.
