Like the other post where you kept on demanding that people stop talking about their bicycles, this one was started by a driver. |
Doubt it. Just a pretext to keep talking about your bicycle. There is a separate section for that. |
| Just this evening I saw a cyclist wearing his black work suit while speeding past a stop sign. “Idaho stop” I guess. I’m a very careful driver but it infuriates me when cyclists don’t take easy yet important steps to improve visibility and safety. Everyone should do their part. Why is that so hard for some cyclists to understand? |
Cyclists are adamantly opposed to any requirements whatsoever being imposed on them. Rules are for other people. |
Bikers aren't even required to wear helmets, which is pretty incredible. |
Just this evening I saw a driver speeding and using their phone while driving. "Limits are for losers" I guess. I'm a very careful bicyclist but it infuriates me when drivers don't take easy yet important steps to improve safety. Everyone should do their part. Drivers are adamantly opposed to speed governor bring installed on their cars. Rules are for other people. |
You're just proving my point. There are things both drivers and cyclists can do. Why are you so against doing your part? |
+1. You use this line of reasoning throughout this post and it’s really ineffective and unproductive. I am a cyclist and runner posted previously. I am a huge public safety advocate and speak at city meetings regularly. I’ve been on working groups for my city regarding safety improvements. Your arguments are disingenuous and do little to further safety issues for cyclists and pedestrians. |
I don't get it, I'm all for lights and reflective material. We can donate to WABA to expand that fall campaign to give out lights - is that what you're looking for? |
Reflective vests cost $10. Amazon will bring you one today. |

I almost hit a bicyclist yesterday while trying to parallel park - no light, small reflectors, dark clothes AND riding the WRONG WAY in the bike lane - came right up to my car in the bike lane as I was focusing on making sure no one was behind me.
We build bike lanes and some people STILL have a death wish |
A dead cyclist might be right, but they are still dead |
So is a dead driver. |
| No cyclists out tonight. Wonder why? LOL. |
