I'm a longtime Ye fan and and R. But, theory:

Right before Ye started spouting off with the anti semitic talk, he was whining about not being let out of contracts with Gap and Adidas. He was doing thigs like playing p--- videos in business meetings, WHILE complaining publicly he wanted out.

Meanwhile, he purchased Parler, a business that will need his attention, and lots of it.

So then he went online and canceled himself by saying despicable things. My theory-- yes, he is a nut and a lot of what he says is bc he is mentally ill. But that is not the case this time. He said that, knowingly, to get out of his contracts and then focus on Parler, which has a lot of people that wont care that he said that. I am not so quick to blame his mental illness on this one, when I consider all the facts-- it appears most likely he knew what he was doing.

Your theory - if true - is even worse than having a mental health breakdown. He purposely stoked anti-sémitism as a business maneuver, conceivably to make more money. That’s just pure, premeditated evil.
