More than 3 = Always, always trashy. Always.

Not when they all attend private schools, summer camps, and ivies on a single income or no discernible form of income and are called Chip or Trip.

yeah, I agree, except for the names, those are a few decades out now.

Names being "out" is not relevant/does not factor.

um, sure it does because "classy" names become "trashy" names the next generation. you don't know that?

My WASP aunt loves to talk about how tacky it is to have more than two kids. We are not farmyard animals!

Chip or Trip are always white trash.

I know both and they are very old money. Own multiple homes, private school, etc.

It was very fashionable to have 4 kids growing up in my husbands wealthy neighborhood. And then to hire help in raising them. I can think of a few Chips and Trips right off the top of my head.

Rich people can "take advantage of the system" by using every loophole imaginable to not pay taxes and they are glorified as being smart (it's changing but slowly). But if poor people getting welfare, food stamps whatever are perceived as "working the system", it's looked down upon.

OK. All the people who woke up early and have no sense of humor, want to argue about WASPy names, whatever: please move along. This was a fund thread.

Maybe we can add “acting like white trash” to the list.
