| Friendship is wonderful as an emergency vet and really the only emergency vet in town. They did a wonderful job when my cat got hurt and needed stitches over a weekend and our regular vet wasn’t available. |
Agreed, I have used them in an emergency and they have been great, but I go elsewhere for routine visits. There is a new emergency Vet opening in the West End/Georgetown. I am hoping that another option will spread the work out more evenly and, selfishly, it is a LOT closer to me than Friendship, so hoping the practice is strong! https://veterinaryemergencygroup.com/locations/georgetown-dc/ |

Friendship is great for speciality care and emergency. They were great for when our dog had cancer and when another needed eye surgery. For us it is across town so I wouldn't travel for healthcare a smaller vet could provide during normal hours.
We go to District Vet and have liked the service and care we have gotten at both the Navy Yard and Brookland locations. Though parking in the neighborhood during the day is certainly a little easier at Brookland. For routine care I have never had a horrible wait and things typically run on time. May be a bit far for you to travel depending on how close you are to Friendship in NW. |
