What to do with Tory Burch bag?

I thought OP had an issue with Tory Burch the person, and not the bag necessarily, and didn't want to carry it for what/who it symbolizes. That's a completely different issue than styling.

Oops. Read that too fast as TB is a "rich young girl" and passed over the bag part. Disregard my comment.

Something with less labeling and branding and obviousness. The giant logo is gauche IMO. I would start with brands like Clare V. or Mansur Gavriel. Those are at similar price points to TB.

This bag doesn’t have a huge logo. It kind of resembles Chanel, quilting and chain.

But it's not Chanel. And it's obvious it's a TB.

Yes, ok I just looked and the bag does have TB logo. But so does chanel and gucci. I thought the whole point was “logos are gauche”?
Or they are gauche only on cheaper brands. Really confused.

I didn't advocate for Chanel or Gucci. However, it's weird to me to walk around with label bag that you can pinpoint the price on and it's not extravagant (IE TB, Coach, Kate Spade, Michael Kors). I mean if you are going to go logo/label/brand go big and go Chanel or Hermes or nothing. Gucci is a bit cheesy IMO.

Why would you want to carry a Chanel look-alike in a cheaper brand? That's weird to me. Get a Chanel or carry something else.

Doesn’t make sense at all. So the whole point of wearing a branded bag is to show the price point? Majority of bags except some handmade are from certain brands. Is it so embarrassing to wear $500 bag vs $5000?

What if a person can’t afford $5000 Chanel bag but like the quilted look with chain?

Tell you what, OP - I am firmly in the "wear what you like" camp, but also this is exactly why I favor no-name brands that are never actually in style to start with, because that way they never go out of style. I don't have the mental bandwidth - or the $ - for it!

This is hilarious.

To me, yes it is embarrassing to pay $500 for a knock off-ish bag because I want the look of a $5000 bag. That is weird to me. I'd rather have a good quality less obvious bag. Just my opinion, not trying to start a fight.

Yes TB is young and not exactly sophisticated. Having said that, if you love it, who cares?

If you're looking for something a little more timeless and refined, try a well made leather bag. It will just get better with age.

Cuyana
Parker Clay
Madewell
Mark & Graham
Leatherology

I find leather too heavy and use a Longchamps Pliage with an organizer inside.

This is funny. So what brand of bag does a good woman wears? The one everyone likes.

If you like your bag, OP, then keep carrying it. There are a handful of women on DCUM who are judgmental jerks, but they are not representative of real people in the real world that you will meet. Keep the bag, use it happily!!
