Yes, there is about a 21 year age gap. Party 1 is 56 and Party 2 is ~35.

I think it's nuts, personally. I am very close friends with Party 1 and he is not a bad person in relationships-- he can be very devoted and is a pleaser-- but his picker is definitely off. I'm close enough to tell him when I see red flags, like with his last long-term relationship...and while I don't see other red flags with Party 2, the fact that she wants to have kids with someone who will be pushing 60 is a red flag in itself. She has always dated older men, it's her thing, but still...

There's something wrong with your friend. You don't just keep picking the wrong people 3 times and haven't learned anything by 56
