| The Revlon works amazing AND it will cause breakage and damage. It pains me to say that. I use it like 3-4 times a year max because otherwise it will fry your hair off. I have a couple front pieces that to me still don’t look right. |
I only use it on the warm/low setting, which is still plenty hot |
| I believe the hot tools dryer brush works as well as the revlon but with less heat. |
|
Op here - so the general thinking is that the revlon doesn’t allow as much tension but is less damaging overall?
And the round brush+Dryer at least for me doesn’t look as good. I’m not that good at it despite years of practice. |
Sorry, I meant Dyani. |
| Dyson! |
This. Shower cap baby! |
But your head sweats and your hair would stink after that sweat funk dries and is slept on again and again. No? |
You can do a refresh on non-wash days, with a spray bottle of water, a Wetbrush, and a little extra product (I love Mixed Chicks Daily Hair Dress). |
I recently discovered THE ANSWER. Fine mist spray bottles! Ulta sells a great one for $12. You mist 2nd or 3rd day curls with water well, re-scrunch. I'm still in process of figuring out which styling or moisture spray makes it even better. Redkin 25 spray is just ok. I don't like BB curl reactivator. Considering trying Aveda texturizing spray plus their spray conditioner. But just water is enough to fix hair mostly. |

Tried it. Complicating matters is that my hair is blond. Most products you spray in wind up making it look wet- and thus darker and wetter. I also don’t enjoy how the weather controls my hair styling and that if I rest my head on something for only a few minutes all the curls get separated and frizzy. I don’t like that I can’t wear a hat or can’t deal with wind or rain or draining pasta. Anyone who thinks natural curls are the effort free solution has clearly never had my hair. |
No I feel you. Curly hair makes me high maintenance and I hate that. Weather dictates the hair, workout schedules , etc. it’s so annoying we can’t just be wash and go people. My hair tends to looks frizzy and dry if I add the water mist for a refresher, I tried that. |

I quickly returned the revlon brush as it was not for me.
The dyson I use the dryer, then paddle brush, then large barreled round brush for a first day blow out. The curling barrels on dry hair for second and third day styling. Use at least 5 seconds of cool air before releasing the curl to set it |
How long would you say it takes? |
