All those encl-R teams should just hang up their cleats and stop playing soccer because they are a B team league

You are assigning judgment to something that is simply fact. It is a B team league what you make of that is on you and you alone.

So you’re gonna stick with the we should be impressed with ECNL-R narrative?

ECNL-R. where the “R” stands for rejected, as in rejected from making the actual ECNL team. Ha!

You people are A'holes. Kids work hard to get placed on a team. Some get the top team, others the second team. At large clubs there is a third, fourth, fifth, and sometimes sixth team. Not everyone can be on the top team. Is your view that those people should not play soccer? They could love the game and love exactly the level they are playing on and care less about college soccer. They could love playing with friends in a joint endeavor. They could be learning skills so that they can move up. And before anyone says they can do rec, who wants to play for a dad or any dad of a friend?

ECNL-R is the top team for some or the second team for others. Who cares? Why put this crap on a board -- R is for Rejected? Is the PP 11?

Be glad that these kids are doing something good and leave them alone.

Are you serious? If at a full ECNL club ECNL-R is the B team which at a non-ECNL club nobody cares.

ECNL-R IS A B TEAM LEAGUE!!!!

Keep on telling yourself that.

I don’t have to tell myself that, ECNL is saying so when their ECNL clubs put their B TEAM in ECNL-R. How can you be this dumb?

You are a gigantic loser. No one with a life actually cares enough about this shit.

Every time this comes up, “rosé all-day” pops up like clockwork, bashing kids.

Aim high, PP!

There are many clubs that have their top team in ECNL-R.

And for the big clubs- the ECNL-R teams are stacked- with limited ecnl teams, the demand for those teams are high and great players have no choice but to play on the R team.

Don’t sell it short. You get all thr ECNL resources, travel, showcases etc.

Pre-ECNL is not a league. Some clubs have Pre-ECNL for their top U12 team stating this team will eventually become the ECNL team for U13.

“Stacked” seriously? What ECNL resources do you get? Only one team per R league gets invited to the lowest bracket of one ECNL showcase to play against the other ECNL-R and a few of the worst performing ECNL teams.

Other than that you get a patch.

It is just a league on par with CCL, NCSL and mostly EDP. There is no more demand to play on a ECNL-R team than there is a good EDP team. If you’re not on a ECNL team then the team/club you are on is just circumstance and proximity.

Better to play 80%-90% of an ECNL R game versus 10% of an ECNL game.

Sounds like a nerve was struck. Comments like these wouldn’t be posted if you didn’t insist upon how great ECNL-R is for multiple pages and play down the accomplishments of those kids on the ECNL teams. In other words, you can dish it out but you can’t take it. Anyhow, the kids are great and I am happy for all of them. It’s the parents on this board that need to wake up.

BRYC is re- labeling their 07B academy team as pre-ECNL. Kinda weird that they would have a U15 ECNL and U15 PRE- ECNL. Can anyone explain the thinking behind this?
