Infertility Support and Discussion
I have been having issues since I started TTC after my miscarriage last November. Missed miscarriage with misoprostol, no D&C. Got period back and had 2 26 days cycles when we didn't try per OB's rec, and when we started I've had a couple issues, including a short luteal phase.
I had an early m/c about 6 weeks ago and had period at the normal time after this, didn't ttc because advised to wait a month, but this month got high readings on cbfm cd 7-11 and started a period like bleed day 11, still bleeding day 12...bearing in mind my proper period only ended 6-7 days ago! Very frustrating as I was waiting for the cbfm to read peak (normally cd 12 + 13 for me) so we could ttc again. I seemed very fertile as well with many days of ewcm, then the bleeding! It seems i spoke too soon when I was thinking I'd sprung straight back to normal cycle after mc. I'm 41 so could do without the delays, time is not on my side. I was quite stressed though on the day the bleeding started as my OH was at docs seeing about a lump on testicle! It feels like things are conspiring against us at the minute, but will try again as soon as poss. To everyone out there trying, don't give up!
After my miscarriage in Oct, I starting putting chasteberry drops (also called vitex by some) in my morning tea, and it evened out my periods again. My thoughts for all of us who have experienced this crap and I hope we all get better results next time.
I am going on week 7 following a shot of MTX for ectopic. Took 5 weeks for my levels to get back down to 0. Show no signs of having ovulated (based on bloodwork and ultrasounds). Also doing acupuncture and though that has helped with previous m/c's, doesn't seem to be working as well this time. OB has mentioned Provera to get my period jumpstarted if it starts taking too long, but how long is too long?
This is the OP - when I finally went in to my doctors she said she would not have wanted me to go more than 3 months without a period. She put me on prometrium to jump start my period and clomid to help regulate. I know how frustrating it can be to wait! It's the worst.
