Mine does this too, and it's very frightening. The only thing that gives him pause - and only sometimes - is when our three-year-old son takes him to task for it. "Don't say bad things to Mommy! Take a deep breath and count to four!"

Not always. Certainly not emotionally. I want to leave but I can't afford to do so.
