My 13 yo does this on purpose all of the time. It can be maddening. Yes, he has ADHD but he also enjoys being argumentative. It can be real arguments or any of the silly things you described. Like your examples would happen, I’d call him out and he would go on and on
- I didn’t have a zoom meeting and that’s what you asked. You didn’t ask about google meet - we don’t have hw. It’s not my fault she called it cw. It was supposed to be finished at home it should have been called hw - I don’t have a quiz. Yes there was a test but there was not a quiz. (Or more often- the teacher never told us) The hard to follow car - just to be annoying then use convoluted wrong all day. Sometimes people tell him he should be a lawyer but he wouldn’t make a good one. He wants to argue for the sake of arguing, not to be right. He admits he would argue against his clients if he could talk someone in circles. |
