Funny that neither mclean or langley is top 3

Crazy Marshall Lady strikes again! Doesn't she know her cat is stuck in her chain-link fence? |
| Every high school in Fairfax County has around 2000 children or more. The fact that McLean and Langley do as well doesn't make them any more special. |
You really are a piece of work. The comparison of Langley was to smaller privates, not other public high schools in Fairfax. |
That was random. Who said anything about Marshall? |
Nice, make fun of people with less money , not everyone can afford hand rolled iron fences from buckingham palace. or are you one of the bitter scraping by fake mclean residents living in a midget rambler box trying to makes herself feel better. |
| Is everyone still nuts about this years US news rankings? Who cares if Marshall is ranked above McLean and Langley. They're all great schools, and all very different. |
Putting aside the US News ranking, can you tell me why local realtors call attention to a house being in the Langley, McLean or Madison high school zones, but not if it's in the Marshall zone? We are looking in the Tysons area and see this repeatedly. It does make me a little nervous. TIA. |
McLean and Langley are status symbols. Madison has a drug problem. No idea why realtors don't list Marshall. It's an amazing school. You can't get both diversity and great test scores anywhere else in the county. |
I wouldn't sweat it. Realtors aren't really that up to date on schools, so they don't necessarily know whether schools have improved. Plus, Marshall is close to Tysons, so listings for homes in that area tend to emphasize proximity to Tysons, rather than school assignments. |
That's harsh. McLean and Langley are great schools, and Madison is too. You can get "diversity and great test scores" at other schools besides Marshall. McLean and Lake Braddock are two examples. |
| McLean and Madison have significantly higher numbers of drug/alcohol/tobacco offenses than Marshall and Lake Braddock. |
This could also mean the administration doesn't let kids get away with as much at those schools and reports more incidents. Those statistics reward the schools that sweep things under the rug. |
If we're going to assume that, then why would we believe that the numbers from other schools aren't underestimates as well? |
They might or might not be. The point is that there's no guarantee of consistency in reporting. By the way, it looks like Marshall has significantly more incidents of disruptive and disorderly behavior than Madison or McLean. |
