Can we finally drop the outdoor masks, Sidwell?!! Am not looking forward to my son masking outside the next couple of weeks. This is our only camp where it is required.

All of my kids camps in DC require masks: GDS, Burke ....
If you are not comfortable with the mask requirements, call Sidwell. It was clear when we all signed up what the guidance was

I mean, it’s ludicrous that any health officials thought that playing in 95 degrees with a mask on was a good idea to begin with. And then CDC couldn’t undo it plainly, they had to throw in a bunch of caveats and scenarios in their most recent guidance. Just a stupid policy from the beginning, but once the genie was out of the bottle it was hard to put back in, in the DMV anyway. Our daycare finally got rid of masks outside just last week.

It's crazy and I hope people like Dr. McBride keep pushing. At this point, anyone who argues that masks are needed outside has lost all credibility with me. The risks of exercising with a mask in this heat are real, while the risks of an unmasked kid catching covid outside AND having a bad outcome are so small.
