Perfectly fine school. Smaller than most in Alexandria, so the teachers get to know most of the students. Very diverse, with a significant ELL population. PTA has really stepped up in the past few years and makes a big effort to be inclusive, which isn't typical.

I don't know of any "program" at CK. It isn't dual-language like MVCS or JA

I was mostly asking because it’s designated as magnet school (which doesn’t make much sense, since kids can’t go out of bounds at this point). I think it’s supposed to be for math and science?


I don't think the "magnet" designation means much these days but check with the principal to be sure.

Magnet, academy, predatory, STEM, and often all at the same time are red flags.

It’s like the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. Only of Korea is true.
