| She could have a gum problem. DH had horrible breath yet brushed/flossed routinely. Turns out he had some bone decay below the gum line which had to be repaired. Once that was done his breath was fine. |
| Alcoholic mommy winos can have turd breath from overindulgence and because of your guts rotting from the inside out. I'm sure she's a drunk. |
| She also might have an auto-brewery thing doing on due to gastroparesis or another GI issue. |
| Has she been to the dentist recently? If she is really that sensitive, I would just start offering her mints and leaving mints around. |
What did the doctor discover and do for this? |
| Don’t tell her. I agree with a previous poster about modeling good behavior and getting some hygiene tools for the both of you. Good luck! If that doesn’t work is there someone close to you, you could ask to tell her? |
| Bad breath and reacting in anger - not a good combo. I would be blunt and bear her wrath. |
Omg, you REALLY should have put a trigger warning on your post... I was eating for god's sake! 🤢 |

I had the same issue. Poor DH was scared to tell me too. I blew him off. A year later got my thyroid checked due to other symptoms, started replacement hormones and voila! Bad breath was gone!
It can definitely indicate a medical issue. |
