Rod knock. It is actually still ok for now but I’m getting rid of it ASAP.

So by “died” you mean “is making a noise because I did not change the oil.”

Price of being captain obvious is making a recommendation for my next car. Go ahead.

Have your car fixed, there is no reason you’ll do better with a new one.

The same thing is going to happen in a new car.

What do you use a car for? Commuting, just grocery shopping, weekend trips?

Daily commute, kid activities, weekend trips, everything. The low miles are due to living within walking distance from a previous job.

Get a Tesla.

But remember you have to charge it.

Is that the only maintenance required? OP is clearly not a fan of regular trips to a mechanic, so it seems as though she'd be better off with a disposable car -- the cheapest thing out there to drive and destroy in a few years.

Op you asked a question though that no one is answering. I'd consider A Mazda if I were you.

I will never own another Mazda. Have had two and both have broken in super dangerous situations. Ugh. I had a great Subaru for 10+ years.

Right now I have a Pilot which is sooo boring but now 9 years and 100K miles and it's been super reliable.
