| out of all the ingredients in a fast food burger, mustard is the only one worth eating |
| Isn't BK where you can have it your way? I preferred BK as a kid but I just wanted ketchup, no mustard. McDonald's wouldn't let you order it plain or with just ketchup. |
|
From the BK website:
“Our Cheeseburger is a signature flame-grilled beef patty topped with a simple layer of melted American cheese, crinkle cut pickles, yellow mustard, and ketchup on a toasted sesame seed bun.” So...yes to mustard on the standard cheeseburger |
McDonald’s cheeseburgers absolutely do have mustard on them. It’s the smear of yellow under the smear of red, under the 2 sad pickles and onion particles. |
| Speaking for Hudson Valley, NYC and Long Island at least during the 80s and 90s... No mustard on BK hamburgers; McD's varied by location, but usually not. |
I'm a PP in the Hudson Valley (Westchester) and there's still no mustard on the cheeseburgers. |
This is funny, because I grew up in the South, and my Mom taught me that eating Mayo (vs. mustard) on hamburgers was a “Yankee thing.” I guess she was right. |
PP you responded to. There's no mayo on cheeseburgers here either- just ketchup and pickles. Truth be told I like some mayo, though.

| I grew up in New York, always had Cheeseburgers or bacon cheeseburgers never had mustard recently in New York had burgers no mustard moved to Tennessee and there’s mustard on the burgers |
Did your kid like it? |
| Burger King, Mustard, New Yorkers oh my!! |
Big Mustard has entered the chat. |
How in the world did this thread get resurrected?! I'm op. If I recall, he was fine with just scraping it off and eating it. He's 13 now and still doesn't like mustard and every so often will request BK. He now gets a whopper or bacon cheeseburger, so mustard isn't a problem. |
This is the answer. |
| In the NYC area (including parts of NJ and CT), McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s, Checkers, etc all withhold mustard. You can’t even request to add it, as the kitchens don’t have it. |
