Farmers Fishers Bakers in Georgetown? It has a young and fun atmosphere, food is pretty good, and it’s a pretty location. Alternatively, maybe Compass Rose or Maydan? The food might be more interesting there.

Bumping this thread as I have the same question. 10 people. Covered outdoor is best, although everyone is vaxxed. Where is fun and cool?

Sequoia in Georgetown improved and has good outdoor seating. I always see groups of young people there and agree with an early poster about Farmers, Fishers, Baker at Harbor.

It’s 2022 not 1997.

Old Ebbitt Grill. It is always a scene, and it is a real DC institution. You can eat in the main dining room or even the atrium. You would have a blast.

I think Del Mar is a good idea given your description of what you want.

Just looked at the OP. She posted May 30, 2021. That kid is graduated and, hopefully, they had a lovely graduation dinner somewhere.

I agree with Old Ebbitt Grill or 1789. 1780 isn't fun per se but it is a well-known DC establishment like Old Ebbitt Grill. I think either would be a great place for a graduation dinner!
