What other folks said. The rosters are already submitted. Even if you could find players I dont think they would be able to play.
I did however see there was an option for the Virginian to allow players to sign up as guest players. Maybe they have ones already pre-registered and will allow to join your team. Call the tournament director. |
Worth a shot, thanks. |
Coach. But if he asks for help in finding some guest players there is no issue in that but he/she’s the one that should lead there. |
They allow birth certificates in those instances a lot of times |
I would ask top kids a year below on team a or b.. They will volunteer very quick to play up. Its good to give a break for the regular players. |
I'm a team manager (not OP) and I have always been responsible for it. I would be happy for the coach to be, but he asks me to. But my son is on the second lowest level travel team, so not like people are dying to guest play for us. |
| When we were in this situation a few years ago - the coach had a relationship with another club just outside the area and was able to find some players to guest with our team. They have to be playing travel and have travel cards typically. |
| Next time you can go into the Guest Player pool. Tournament organizer can tell you how to do that. But, you missed the boat this time. |
Yes -- thankfully, it's going to be much cooler than usual this weekend. Maybe kinda sucky with the rain, but it should help keep the kids from getting burned out too much. I wouldn't stress about it at this point, as a manager, you've done pretty much all you can do, I think. If the coach is fine with playing with only 1 sub, just let it go. Good luck! |
I'm not OP either, but my coach has always handled getting the guest players. I've been the TM for 3 years (and hopefully this is the last one!) and have never had to ask for guests. |
