There is an Easttown in suburban Phileadelphia, but the place shown in the show is clearly not that place. Easttown township (which I have never heard anyone refer to as Easttown -- people would typically say "TE" referrign to the school district) is a lovely, rural/suburban, bucolic, rolling hill kind of place. It's in Chester County, not in Delco, where the show is supposed to be set. The show borrowed the name but it's meaningless.

Yup. I swear it wasn't until this show until I realized that the "E" in TE school district was Easttown. I just never gave it any thought because everyone always just calls it TE.

Remember a year ago when all the good little AWFLs said they'd no longer watch cop shows?

That was hilarious.

I loved this until the end! Biden is from SCRANTON! Which is a completely and totally different set of specific Pennsylvanian whites.

The Biden’s moved to Claymont, DE when he was around 10 which is right over the Delco line. I don’t think he has a Delco accent but Jill Biden has a bit of a Philly accent.
