When did your sons get taller than you?

I also know if you are a shorter woman, this will happen sooner- obviously.

But I can't picture looking at my kids in the eye at my eye level. I'm 5'9", so not super tall but certainly taller than most women.

Not necessarily. I'm 5'4" tall and my son just surpassed me last year right around his 15th birthday. He has my genes so he isn't going to be tall.

I'm only 5'1" and my 11 year old is eye to eye with me, maybe a little taller. His legs are longer and his feet are bigger. When we hug, his arms go around my waist and my arms are around his shoulders.

My 9 year old is going to be there soon, too.

14 for my son. I’m 5’5. He is 16 and 6’ now. My daughter is 11 and will probably catch up to me at 12.

I'm 5'10 so have been curious about this too. DS is 14 and only about 5'7. Lots of short people in my family, but I'm not...DH is average also 5'10.

I'm 5'10" and my DD passed me at age 17 (just shy of 6') and my DS age 14.5 is just now my height.

This is interesting for me. My son is only 6 but he’s within an inch of his 9yo sister, at 53” and 54”. My husband is 6’3 and I’m 5’7 and I do wonder when my son will eclipse me. He’s always been off the charts for height.

I'm 6' and my son was equal in height to me when he was in 9th grade. My daughter is in college and is 5'4"

I'm 5'4" and my 14 year old son just hit 5'4" recently right after his birthday. He hasn't started puberty yet, so I'm hoping he'll grow quite a bit in the next few years.

I'm 5'8", and I think it was sometime around 14-15 when he passed me up. Freshman in high school.

He's now 18 and 6'1".

His older sisters are a little salty about it - they're 5'5" and 5' 3.5" (that extra .5 is very imporant )
