Should I intervene or leave this one alone?

Last week? today is Thursday. Maybe they are just busy a few days, or kids had a bad round of your mamma jokes. don't sweat it yet. tell your DS sometimes friends spend few days with other friends. it's ok to share

Would not add any energy to this situation. The kid can tell your son under what conditions he is interested in getting together. Your kid can decide if that works for him

You’re probably right. It just feels coincidental and out of character.

Just play right down the middle. Neither family has done anything to worry you and your child should continue to be inclusive. If one has an issue with the other, that’s between them.

I have seen the word quirky thrown around a lot on this thread. Can someone define this or give concrete examples of what you mean by this? Just a mom over here hoping not to be shunned for being too "quirky" in the future.
