This is rich. All age groups just got way stronger but those two teams are stacked now. This will be a fun year to say the least and solidify VDA as the top club in this region. MW has made the changes he needed to make and is building that brand together with the high level coaches and strong leadership that is now in charge. VDA will be the destination club in the future that will serve the strongest athletes and provide the best training and development in the DMV starting next season.

2021-22 season outlook:
04 will look to keep improving. They are on the right track and should see better results. Team will continue to benefit from excellent coaching. 05 boys still trying to find an identity. Time will tell if it changes next year w/new recruits. Can only go up at this point. Coach has potential to improve the team with the right recruits. If not, team will continue to struggle in establishing an identity in the foreseeable future. 06 boys loosing top offensive players. That means very little scoring next year unless those players are replaced with equals (TBD). Can mid/def handle the extra pressure put on them if lost players are not replaced? (TBD). Team will probably struggle to win. 07 boys should remain about the same and remain competitive in most matches. However, they probably will remain inconsistent when playing better teams. Team could probably be a lot better with a true striker. Perhaps a new recruit is on the table. 08 boys should continue to remain strong. Not sure who in the area can dethrone them, if any. I suspect DCU will be calling next spring and recruit heavy. |
