You’re talking about the strip of trees with the walkway cutting through to Chestnut Park? The one that families and dog walkers use all day, every day? Those miscreant teens must have some excellent invisibility cloaks. |
I live right there!!! Those are not woods. |
No- down past Rock Spring park |
That’s a trail which seems to have walkers 24/7 — and crazy small and narrow. |
Yes it’s all true. Feel free to go to a different high school. Keep YHS under populated. |
Other school have this issue too. It’s just an underlying classism and racism than means people are shocked when it happens with “good” kids at Yorktown, but when it happens at Wakefield they say, “well, what else would you expect.” |
Wakefield doesn't have the same level of drug and alcohol and parent-sponsored alcohol parties. Ask the police - they'll confirm. The problem is people expect such things at Wakefield because it's Wakefield. those people are idiots. Do they really think most of Wakefield can afford the expensive drugs found at YHS? and a lot of kids are working jobs on top of school. There's stuff in every school; but richer kids beget more expensive drugs. |
It's a big school. Some kids are partiers. Many are not. My Yorktown kid has lots of friends, is involved in activities, and doesn't drink or hookup at all. I don't think most of her friends do either. They do occasionally sneak off campus and go to the Harrison Shopping Center for coffee or lunch.l0 |
I walk through Rock Spring “park” during lunchtime. Substitute degenerate teens with hoardes of preschoolers skipping rocks in the creek. |
Yorktown HS isn't BH 90210 or the OC. Just like any school there are different groups. |
Ummm yeah sure... |
And its really not all that different from W&L. |
I’m not pp, but why is that unbelievable to you? I guess people who convince themselves that all high schoolers are skipping school to drink and hook up in the poison ivy aren’t really rational, so forget I asked. |
Keep clutching those pearls and move along. You probably don't really know your high schooler(s). |
Who said I have a high schooler? You’re the on clutching pearls, fool. |
