| Try Union College in upstate NY. |
Just Union up and say "Hey, I didn't bother to apply but I'm coming anyway, please get me a room"? Why do people on decision threads suggest colleges that for whatever reason aren't on the table? |
That’s not the same as ‘I don’t know anyone’. What percentage of kids receive engineering degrees at Ohio State? It sure isn’t 26%. Does that somehow mean it’s a lousy engineering school. It’s still not important. |

Lehigh is well known as a great engineering school.
Villanova is also a great school in general. I don't think he can go wrong. |
| I think of them as great schools but think Of Lehigh for engineering specifically. I also think of Lehigh as a big party/Greek school which could be a plus or negative. |

Lehigh
Villanova full of partying not great engineering school. Lot's of alumni's kids who got in donation based. |
Lehigh frats hard and parties all night. Definitely not less of a party school than Villanova. |
| Both overwhelmingly, almost weirdly, white. |
| Lehigh is very isolated. Villanova is near a city, with more to do. Which would your child prefer? |
|
Lehigh is 61% white; about the same percentage as the US. Someone’s a racist. |
|
Lehigh is top-notch for engineering. I'd pick that. Villanova is great for liberal arts, though.
|
| Lehigh is better known for it, but I would say campus setting/vibe would be more of a determining factor... |
| Villanova is Catholic. |
| Our firm has an office in PA - Lehigh has a much stronger reputation for science and engineering. I’ve heard Villanova is more fun, though. |
