I recommend that you get one of these to remove your tonsil stones. It is a tiny stick with a flashlight:

| Just fell down a Reddit rabbit hole about tonsil stones. For PPs that had tonsil stones, how did you know you had them? Can you see them or feel them? |
| i am going to the ENT to get mine dealt with tom. does anyone know what they will do? |
| How did you pull back the flap without gaging op? I can see a huge one back there but can't set passed there without eyes watering and gagging. |
| i dont get how ppl are doing this themselves. i would gag so much and also fear infection. |
| I only get them after a bad cold. I imagine they're trapping the sickness so i can recover |

+1000 read the horror stories online about the throat scabs as well. |
Yes they're way worse when sick. I check pretty much every day and remove any along with gargling. My 6 year old tells me if my breath is ok (or not) so I can feel confident since he's painfully honest! |

A clear symptom is horrible breath that smells like horse shit. You can smell it on people who are several feet away from you. I basically tell people "Wow, your breath smells like you have tonsil stones." |
Not true for everyone though bc my spouse has them and their breath isn't bad. |
| I just got a ad pop-up on my screen for the tonsil pick with the flashlight. Thanks DCUM. |
That’s not super helpful, everybody has bad breath sometimes. What are other signs? |
| Last ENT I visited claimed tonsil stones are a product of silent reflux, inflaming the tissue and leading to extra phlegm. Treat the reflux, stones will go away. I do get more when I'm congested. And I do have some stomach troubles. This guy was well past retirement age and was adamant that it's a stomach problem, not a tonsil problem. |
