Can you tell us more about what foods your child does like, even if they aren't traditional breakfast foods?
Some ideas: --Whole grain waffles w/ maple syrup --Cheerios w/ banana and strawberries along w/ your choice of milk --Any kind of protein along with fruit and/or vegetables your child likes -- don't limit yourself to traditional breakfast foods --Breakfast tacos on wheat or corn tortillas. You said your child doesn't like eggs, what about bacon or sausage? |

I second baked oatmeal. Budget Bytes and Love & Lemons have good recipes. I usually use pure maple syrup as the sweetener and reduce by 50%.
I make pancake batter from 2 eggs, 1 banana, 1/2 cup oats in the blender (add vanilla extract and cinnamon if desired) Energy balls (I skip the chocolate chips, use less honey than recipe calls for, coconut is unsweetened) https://www.gimmesomeoven.com/no-bake-energy-bites/ Whole grain bagel/English muffin with cream cheese Always a serving of fresh fruit with BF |

Dutch pancake (has more eggs than regular pancakes)
Sausage Patties Bagel with Cream cheese Cream of wheat with a pat of butter & whole milk, sprinkled with cinnamon |
| My kid won’t eat cereal, bananas, eggs, and milk. Not a fan of pancakes or French toast either. I basically make him dinner for breakfast from leftovers every morning. He also loves bagels and lox. |
| How do you guys have time to make some of this stuff before school? We barely make it out the door on time as it is...I can’t imagine throwing French toast into the mix. |

Ants on a log
Apple slices with peanut butter |

What would you feed them the rest of the day?
Breakfast doesn’t have to be “breakfast” foods. You child will not be scarred from having dumplings, rice and beans, meatballs, etc. Just because it’s morning. |

Cheerios and toast with peanut butter are fine for breakfast.
Keep offering other stuff, but don't make it an issue. If they want to eat plain cheerios or toast with peanut butter every day for breakfast that is fine too. |

My picky 4 year old drinks a breakfast "milkshake" every morning:
1/2 banana 1 cup baby spinach 1 tsp chia seeds 2 tbs peanut butter 1.4 cup chocolate powder (carnation instant breakfast is what we use) 1/2 cup blueberries 1/2 cup strawberries 1/2 cup whole milk or almond milk I drizzle the top with chocolate syrup and throw a few sprinkles on there. He drinks the entire thing and sometimes has seconds. The rest of the day, he pretty much lives off of apple slices, pirates booty and shredded cheddar cheese. He has never even entertained the idea of trying any kind of meat or vegetable. My daughter is also picky but not quite as extreme. She is 8 so we have a rule that she has to have 3 ingredients on her breakfast plate (carb, fruit, protein). Otherwise, she would just eat a plain piece of toast with butter. Her favorite right now is a plain bagel with peanut butter and cut up strawberries. She will also eat a scrambled egg and cheese tortilla wrap or dry cereal wilth raisins and honey roasted peanuts (kind of like a trail mix of sorts) I am so envious of my friends who have kids that just eat whatever. My husband and I are adventurous eaters who love to cook. I can't stand eating the same things two days in a row, let alone every day for the past year!. |
| My kid really likes turkey bacon, which has a lot of lean protein. |

Are they just not breakfast people? I know I'm not .I need like a good 2 hours before I'm hungry...just a thought.
How old are the kids? Can you take them to the grocery store with you and have them walk around - cereal aisle, produce section, frozen area, Bakery section, etc.? Can you get them involved - have them make muffins with you? Or make banana bread together? Trail mix is always fun to make b/c my kids like to scoop things and then throw around the ziploc bag to mix it up. |
| My kids went through a period where they would just eat ham slices out of the sack. Not breakfast people. |
