What's the best "whole" bread

Anonymous
My wife likes Dave's, but I prefer the Arnold whole wheat breads; they taste more like traditional bread. I like either Oatnut or 12 Grain.

Depending on what part of the country you are in, the same bread is sold under different names: Arnold, Brownberry and Oroweat.

I've been eating the sarah lee healthy grain 45 cal/slice bread. I know it's not healthy- it seems to stay fresh for a month, but I like it and do WW so it's only a point per slice. Might have to try Dave's next.

That is gross diet food and not bread. Lowering your calories isn’t worth eating
processed and artificial food just for the sake of a lower number. You are
Better off eating real bread and cutting out something else

I have found I don’t really like any bread in the “bread aisle.” I buy the Wegmans sliced marathon bread, seeded multigrain, or spinach Parmesan from the bakery.

Agree. Just eat good bread infrequent. Make a sandwich in a small sized whole grain wrap or have a salad, soup, anything else

Interesting. I find whole grain wraps inedible. But I like Dave’s (figures it has added sugar). But I don’t like any sourdough, so I obviously don’t know bread.

Where in the grocery store is Dave’s usually kept? I saw it once randomly at an end but don’t know where it is usually.
Same with a healthy wrap—where are these?

Does anyone opt for something like dark rye? I loved it when I was growing up.

Dave's Killer Bread is in the bread aisle.

Ezekiel is healthier; Dave's tastes great. I agree with the PP who suggested eating it less frequently.

Ezekiel is sold in the freezer section, and that's where I keep it because I eat it infrequently. Dave's is on the bread aisle, and it does not last as long as the more processed breads, so eat it fast or it molds.

I still buy Dave's.

+1 But only the thin sliced version.
