| I only purchase dealer pre-certified vehicles. My car of choice is Escalade and I have had two with no major problems just routine maintenance. |
| How does one find these kind of cars? |
| BMW? No, unless you are a professional mechanic who works on European vehicles and even then, I'd be worried lol. |
Usually they are on the dealer website, under pre-owned or certified pre-owned and they are typically less than a year old with less than 10k miles on them. You can also just ask the dealer directly if they have any of these. |
| I did not buy but leased a courtesy BMW which had around 3800 miles on it. Two years in and zero issues (knock on wood). Saved me a bunch of money. |
I did exactly this for an X3 three years ago. The only caution I have is to check the tires. The car had 2800 miles, the tires must have had much more because I had to replace them relatively early. They sell them as new cars because they have never been titled, so if new vs. used matters for financing or anything, you should know that. Also, because of this, they aren't discounted like you would think of a truly used car. I believe I got a good price and I love my car. |
I'm 20:07 - My sales person offered me one (clued me in) when I was being very specific about color and that is what they had available on site. I actually got a lower mileage car than they usually give up because they didn't want me to go elsewhere. If I am paying that kind of money for a car, I want my first choice color
When I was in HS, my dad bought a couple of cars listed as "rental return" (from car rental companies) with ~10K miles on them. I think they were at dealerships as used cars. |
| OP, this is exactly what I bought 3 weeks ago. Got a really good deal (27% off msrp) on a demo vehicle with 4400 miles. It was BMW X3 and you get all the things included in the original warranty and can buy additional warranty later on if needed. |

My buddy once got a one week old Used Miata at dealership with 7 miles.
Guy bought it for wives 50th birthday suprise and got a stick. She was furious as he forgot she can’t drive a stick and he returned it My friend got a deal! |
