| The actress who plays the daughter is so OTT, I can't take another moment of watching her on-screen (despite the hottie rebel son). |
| Has anybody watched both Yellowstone and Longmire? DH and I enjoyed the latter and are wondering whether it is worth the $ to pay for Yellowstone. |
I can’t stand her either. Terrible actress. |
I’m one of the PPs who recommended Yellowstone. DH and I both loved Longmire and we both love Yellowstone. They are very different shows in some respects, but similar in others. Yellowstone is darker and more violent and does not follow the mystery of the week format. But the Western scenery is stunning in both shows and they both have a strong sense of place. If you enjoyed the Longmire plot lines about tensions with the nearby reservation, I think you’ll like Yellowstone. The main character on Yellowstone (John Dutton) is similar to Walt Longmire in some ways, although Walt is a much more morally upstanding person. I would give it a try if I were you! |
| Op here- I’m on episode 4 of season 1. It’s okay..nothing more than that. I’ve watched such amazing shows lately, I’m annoyed at wasting time on this one. |
| Yes. It is worth it. |
I decided it wasn't worth paying for, and didn't continue. |
I may stop. |
| Probably the only show my husband and I follow anymore. But it seems the budget was far bigger for season 1, pretty noticeable decline in production afterwards. It’s still gorgeous imagery and Costner carries the show. A primetime soap opera basically. |
| Pretty sure it's the most watched cable series on TV. At least it was last summer, with over 5 million people watching it live. |
Thank you for all the great details, pp. We will! |
YES!!! |
|
We like it fine. It’s nothing special.
Gone are the days of ER and West Wing. |
| As I like Kevin Costner, I decided that Yellowstone would be worth watching. I even installed Peacock TV APK on Firestick (here is a good guide https://www.firesticktricks.com/peacock-tv-apk-firestick.html if someone is in seach), because the first three seasons are all available to stream on Peacock or for purchase through Amazon Prime. I personally enjoyed the 1st and the 2nd seasons, and currently, I'm watching the 3rd one. |
