Has anybody watched both Yellowstone and Longmire? DH and I enjoyed the latter and are wondering whether it is worth the $ to pay for Yellowstone.
I’m one of the PPs who recommended Yellowstone. DH and I both loved Longmire and we both love Yellowstone. They are very different shows in some respects, but similar in others. Yellowstone is darker and more violent and does not follow the mystery of the week format. But the Western scenery is stunning in both shows and they both have a strong sense of place. If you enjoyed the Longmire plot lines about tensions with the nearby reservation, I think you’ll like Yellowstone. The main character on Yellowstone (John Dutton) is similar to Walt Longmire in some ways, although Walt is a much more morally upstanding person. I would give it a try if I were you!
Thank you for all the great details, pp. We will!
