Anyone know what happened at TJMS with Covid?

2 positives at W&L with 33 close contacts - all reported today.

Editing to add - the two positive cases are FULL TIME VIRTUAL. The close contacts are either virtual, t/w or th/f... which makes me think this is a sports related case.

For sure sports.

And, they need a column for sports because while the kids are virtual for school they’re not “full
time” virtual if they’re playing sports.

What is the protocol at Fairfax? In Loudoun there is no testing or quarantining of classmates, and they don't care if an infected student comes in after 10 days of quarantine.

Masks work. Wear them. Send your kids to school in person.

Correction. No one was SYMPTOMATIC.

As you know, this pandemic is driven by asymptomatic cases.

TJMS is APS, not FCPS.

This is not correct. At least one of the positives at WL is an in person student who was in school last week.

"close contact" is worthless and means nothing

it's what parents think it is

so over protective mom might say "oh neighbors uncle cousin was diagnosed and the neighbor was outside yesterday and so were we, so yes! close contact!"

another might say "oh we went to Giant yesterday. Somewhere there most have been diagnosed and be positive, so yes! close contact!"

Yeah, that's not how it works. With 23 at one school, I'm suprised there wasn't a positive recorded.

I don't think they're going to confirm cases, since they are not doing the testing.

Is that anecdotal? The reports shows they were both virtual. Up to 45 close contacts now.

So, I guess nobody has any answers for OP's question about TJMS?

It's confirmed. They must not have updated the report yet.

Not a fun way for these 50 families to spend spring break!

DP. Wrong, kids are tested every week. Negative tests. I'm sorry this is not what you want to hear but this is not a spreading event. This thread is so obviously a parent trying to "prove" there is vast unreported covid at this school. Just chomping at the bit really. Sorry to disappoint. Go read the pfizer vax thread for 12-15 year olds and cry.

Guess they should have thought of that before they sent their kids back to in-person school in the middle of a pandemic. BTW, this is going to keep happening.
