Agree, they have all these cuts to make, they can't have virtual by school.

Demanding virtual in every school is irrational and unreasonable.
+1. A dedicated county-wide virtual class is so much better than concurrent. If parents insist on school-based virtual, it will end up being concurrent, to the detriment of all.

I'm a resource assistant and concurrent is so much harder than in person or virtual for me. I never feel like I have enough time. I am crossing my fingers for 5 days in person only next year.

concurrent is the absolute worst. The push from the teachers to ditch concurrent was a major driver for FCCPS returning 5 days a week after spring break.

I’m a teacher in FCCPS. We still have to teach concurrently this year and we were told we may have to next year also. It’s so much harder. It’s harder than any administrator realizes.

Durand and the school board need to put an end to this discussion. it's ridiculous. Families that are expecting concurrent in the fall should go private if not comfortable

^ Students who want to be in person will be back full time. We still need to teach concurrently to those who choose virtual and they may have a virtual option next year. They purchased cameras and want us to use them.

So summer school is all in person now, or all virtual. That's a change.

20:27 here. I was referring to FCCPs since it was brought up. Someone posted quickly before I added my comment.

+1000.. because the families that are not comfortable with teachers vaccinated will never be OK with this. they should remain remote or private

Loft and Duran are focusing 10000% of their thoughts on the maximum distancing. infuriating!!

They aren't addressing why in the world they didn't have a plan B for this 3ft guidance before now. We all knew this was coming. Think creatively, this is insane

they can't answer this because they didn't have a plan. exactly why they are avoiding any real dialogue with parents. it's awful.

really? I'm really really sorry to hear this. I thought they were rearranging classes to make all virtual classes- but maybe this is just at some grades? I know it happened in 3rd grade.

this SB meeting is making it crystal clear Duran and the SB clearly lack a plan to get the kids back FT.. they have excuse after excuse of why this cannot happen.

They are waiting for COVID to go away entirely.

Go BK!!!!!! 'i'm only hearing excuses- I need to hear a can do attitude and what we are doing to get kids back'
Anonymous
NOTHING BUT EXCUSES!!!! Everyone needs to start paying attention to this. It's so awful!!!
