How to get out-of-control screen time in check?

Anonymous
Okay people.. we were obviously lied to! Raise your hand all of you who WERE told by the media and other "SMART" people that the use of electronic is good for their brain, for their education and developing the horizon.

Yeah.. look at all those geniuses now! There should be AT LEAST ONE EINSTEINE per household now.

WHERE ARE THEY??? I am asking! WHERE????

We just need to do what works in every other area. We need to unite! We need to stand together and we need to create unified front.

Because what good is when I try to limit the screen time to 2 hours for my kid when your kid can binge 24.. then my kid comes to me and rubs me with it.

Ask veteran parents.. you have no idea how fare they can go unless you won't take
the junk actually away from them. .. your kids must be young and not very clever yet...

Well I can tell from the howls during the day when I turn it on by accident that it still works.

Sure they can download a movie but screentime nips that. And no neighbors have open wifi

Pediatrician: They're only getting two hours of screen time a day, right?

Me: HAHAHAHA! I mean, yes.

My friend's kid broke our harmonica. What's the protocol here? Do I email her about it or call her on the phone? I want my gratitude to feel sincere.

Whenever I gaze upon my sleeping kids, I imagine them growing up to make a difference in the world.

Which is incredible since they use bed rails to prevent them from falling on their faces in the middle of the night.

Sure, I could parent without screen time. I could also churn my own butter, but let's not get crazy here.

Parenting is 70% me yelling, 20% asking the kids why they’re yelling, & 10% trying to find where I left my coffee.

Me, to all my kids before the age of 2.

"No screens allowed."

On their 2nd birthday, handing over iPad.

"This is your mother now."

My kids made cardboard computers: I'm glad they're so imaginative and equally disturbed that even their creative play involves screen time.

Yeah, I could restrict my kids' screen time, sure, but I just don't want to be the kind of parent who *limits* her children, ya know? Right, yeah, I want them to feel limitless, that's all...

Random dad: Do you limit your kids' screen time?

Me: I gave up.

Him: Why?

Me: It increased their scream time.

LOL.. yeah.. lucky for you.. if you lived in more dense area there are like too many that kids can hop on.

Maybe they howl to throw you off a scent .. they might be already outsmarting you.

We really need something like that soon for the kids' cellphone and other screen devices use, before their brains will fell out..
